Now I know what Uncle R has to go through everytime he blades to ECP to meet us!

The most exciting part is when going back. Certain skills is required to go down the slope towards the underpass. Difficult I thought. I nearly flew down the stairs if not for YH's rescue. Exciting...

Shortly, a girl blade down the same slope, apply pressure constantly on her brake pad and stop just before the flight of stairs Effortlessly. Cool!

I think it's time I perfect my braking skills! *Embarrased*

Autumn Holiday Part VI

Day 9: USJ
It was a day of Fun and Excitment! Though I have been there during my visit in Spring, the rides never fail to thrill me. Everything was good, except for the Queue... A good training ground for building up your patience. Hee hee...

Day 10: Uji & Kifune

Oh! This is the park is where I got my little red leaf - the First Red Leaf I saw and there was just this little one that has turned red for Autumn (as I was there too early, 2 weeks early, to witness the beautiful foliage).

Autumn Holiday Part V

Getting lazy with words, and I need to wake up early tomorrow... so I'll do a pictorial on Day 8 of my japan trip:

~ Shigaraki Cho to learn to Art of pottery making!

It's one of the 6 old Japanese kilns which is famous for pottery (信楽焼き), especially the raccoon dog statues that we could see in almost every Japanese garden.

It was a rainy day...and we were sort of "lost".. but I wasn't alone, so it was okay. *Grinz*

We trudged along the long and narrow road in search of ためき村.... we passed by lots of racoon dogs.. made several calls to make sure we were right on track, and the voice over the other side reassured us that we were near and were just "minutes" away.
"Turn left when you see a traffic light.... it's only minutes away after you passed the traffic light..." (Of course, it's in japanese but I wasn't the one making the call, else I don't think we'll ever find our way there. ha ha..)

We found the place eventually and it was indeed minutes away from the first traffic light we see, just that the traffic light is almost 30mins walk away from where we were.

We were late for our pottery class that my friend has arranged for us.

But we still had fun! It ain't as easy as it looks...

Autumn holiday in Japan - Part IV

Day 7 - Takayama, Shirakawago

After the bad disappointment on the previous day, I had no courage to venture too far. So I decided to change my itinery for the day: Instead of travelling all the way down to My Fuji, just to enjoy a few moment of wonders, I decided to stay pu tin Takayama and make a trip down to Shirakawago, and explore more of Takayama.

Shall let the pictures do the talking for this day.

The enormous task of constructing the thatched grass roof that allows them to withstand all weather.... (Don't be mistaken, I'm not so lucky to witness this. It is a picture of a poster that I took.)
