Boxing Day

A holiday declared by my Company. Super long weekend for me, good, but not so great, as my hubby and friends are all working....

In the end, met my MIL for lunch at Taka' Sushi Tei, and followed by shopping at Orchard. Never had I seen so many people in the malls. Lots of stores were offering (up to) 70% off. Tempting... but after having spent so much in US (honeymoon trip), I got to tighten my belt and restrain myself.
*Impressed by my discipline*

Well, the mission for the day is Bedlinens for my new place (though STILL NOT yet ready). So we went to Robinsons, which is having some kind of special members' SALE. Wow, WOw...! The queue was very long and my MIL had to queue (abt 1 hour) whilst I chose my purchase. The people were buying as if everything was free! It's crazy the people are still spending when the market sentiments is so bad, and economy is getting gloomy...

Christmas BBQ

Annual Christmas BBQ
~ using Terence trusty portable pit

The Scouts doing their job..
Christmas Menu for the Night:

~ Black pepper beef

~ Spicy Jiang yu zai Stingray

~ XO prawns

~ Honey lemon chicken, XO Chicken wings

~ Chicken sausages

~ butter crabsticks

Initially, we thought of having BBQ underneath the stars....

In the end, we shifted the portable pit to the sheltered porch due to sudden downpour
But the weather did not spoil our mood for BBQ !

And of course, Cheers to Siting
for her wonderfully marinated food!!

(Now we know who should be incharge of preparing the BBQ food next time...)

Now, the christmas lightings on wheels...

and we are lucky to be the passengers =)

Singapore's 1st Grand Prix at Night

Never would I thought I would be one of the many to witness The World's First Formula1 Night race! All thanks to my dearest Brother in-law (soon-to-be)...

Although it's on the first night and practice rounds for F1, I'm still glad I was there!

The Good thing about it is.... It's in it's exclusive Club Suite JUST OPPOSITE the PIT, fully air-conditioned, with full service and free-flow of beverages and food - any types of drinks, including alcohol, wine, etc, and of course, not forgetting the delicious buffet dinner and supper (which I was too full to try).

And... The Best thing about it is... It's FREE!!!

Here's some pics to share~

The "Back" to Club Suite opposite the Pit
The Gorgeous view with the Flyer as the backdrop of the track
Indeed a good position for the "Start"

Well, directly opposite where I was is the Pit for ....
Not everybody's favourite... but who cares, when it's free.

Having Dinner inside the Club Suite

Exciting night view

Photo Selection on 9 Sep 08

It was a difficult choice....
A very very difficult one.. when Dew reminded me about my promise - not to spend extra $$ on topping-up photos on top of our 20 given photos in our package.

A even more difficult one when Eric is so so good (photography skills).

Well, after 1 hour plus, we managed to choose 40 really nice ones. And another hour, we cut down to about 20 plus...
I succeeded in not succumbing to my wimps and making dew decide which are the final few to eliminate. We eliminated the entire Yukata (indoor), Pink background (Indoor), Globe (Indoor), Hort Park (Outdoor) series.

But after consultation from Eric about the album layout and photos selected, Dew waivered and we finally stopped at 28 photos. 8 extra pcs = $520 damage

It's a tough decision. Well, I helped by forgoing those single shots of myself which I thought I looked good in...

If only we have more budget for photos...

Can't wait for the photos to be ready!

Photoshoot on 5 Sep 08

For the first time, I was discipline enought to moisturise my terribly dry legs the night before without being reminded to - even my freshly manicured fingers and pedicured-toes was not spared.

Woke up earlier than the usual working days to start off our very early photoshoot...

Left Dew's hse at 7.50am to pick up my photoshoot bouquet at Fleurlicious. Very beautiful posy of pink, champagne eustomas and white roses. Looks like those from the glossy magazines. Impressed!

Simply love it!!

Reached Eric's studio at 8.30am and started my makeup by Gin while poor dew got to make a trip back for my Yukata and globe for the photoshoot. Dew was terribly worried about the downpour in the morning...

Hair for WG
Indoor photoshoot for Yukata, Evening gown and Actual Gown before we break for packed-lunch.

Luckily, the skies turned bright and cheery in the afternoon. Just right for our outdoor shoot! Have never seen such blue skies for long long time...

Outdoor locations:
- Club street
- St Teresa Church
- Hort Park
- Alexander Park
- Labrador Park

We ended the shoot at about 5pm and went back to Eric's studio to pack for our next round of night shoot (with complimnets from Dew's buddy - Rodin).

Night shoot location:
- The Flyer
- Fullerton Hotel
(Visit my multiply website to get a glance of the Night Shoot pictures!)

Ended at 11pm. Deadbeat at the end of the day. facial muscles can' even managed a smile wen dew told me a joke. No joke!

Trial Make-up

Gin work magic on me during the Trial.
My dear friends went all the way down to TWP just for the Trial.
Dew waited patiently throughout the Trial.

After pondering for along while, I decided not to post any pictures of my Trial MU. I prefer surprises, so I thought I would give my guests some surprises on 16 Nov 2008 as well.

Thanks for coming down, Babes
